MANCHESTER, Fantasista - Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are both carrying the same target when meeting in the Premier League, to win, Saturday (04/24/2010). Different result than that can disperse the champion ambition for MU or finish in the big four for Tottenham.
Manchester United is currently in second place with 76 points, or minus one point from Chelsea. Given that Chelsea will play against Stoke on Sunday (25/04/2010), victory over Tottenham would bring MU to the top as well as giving pressure on Chelsea.
Tottenham itself was in fourth place with 64 points, or just two points ahead of Manchester City. They are ready to play all-out for finishing in the big four ambition, such as when defeating Arsenal and Chelsea in their last two games of the Premier League.
Besides relying on his own effort to finish in big four, , Tottenham are also hoping for Arsenal to help them by beating City, Saturday (24/04/2010). That way, Tottenham will secure their position by five points different from the City. Or, even less, at least they are still ahead of Arsenal.
Even so, Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp has warned his troops that the Arsenal-City duel is just a bonus, and the success or failure can only be determined by their own efforts at Old Trafford.
For Tottenham, the target of finishing in the top four is as important as the Manchester United target to win the Premier League. Unfortunately, they can not fulfill that target together. In order to fulfill the ambition, one team must defeat the other team. If so, who will stand proud at the end of the game?
